Happy Birthday Christi! ...And May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor.

Hello again, lovely people!!
I know I got a little behind (again)... I've been extremely busy though, getting SweetPea, her having her calve (Jenny) and just life... life goes by much too quickly sometimes... but anyway, on to this birthday business..........

The 18th of April was the happy, happy birthday of my eldest sister, Christi!

... and for her birthday, she wanted to go shopping and see The Hunger Games!!

She had just finished reading the book and was very excited to see it.
I had not read it, nor seen any previews or heard much of anything about the movie, (only because I prefer it that way, to see a movie without seeing previews, because they tend to show the whole movie... but anyway...) other than looking at a few press photos and some video stills back when they first showed up on IMDb.  Although I didn't know much about the story, other than knowing it was set in the future and a few other little details, being in love with archery... I reeaally wanted to go see it... We were all very excited. :)

We weren't at all disappointed either!  I think it's one of my new favorite stories, in fact.  I really loved it!
I think, if I had to choose; that I liked the book better, only because there is so much more detail, which is a given... you can't put as much detail into a movie as you can a book.  So, that was not a horrible surprise or anything. d;
Overall, the movie is pretty true to the book, except for two or three major things that I wasn't really happy to see cut from the movie.  As I was reading it, it was like I got a free ticket to watch the movie again in my mind, only it was drawn out much longer, of course, and a few scenes were added!  d;   It was nice... I can't wait to see the next two.  I must say that out of the three books, the second one was my favorite.  But I could rant on about those books for a while, so we'll just save that for another post. c;

 ______________
So anyway!
First Christi and I "danced" in the car to our favorite Slow Club songs, Because We're Dead, Our Most Brilliant Friends, Trophy Room and Giving up on Love.  Most Brilliant Friends is the best.  Haha, they are such weird songs that it's funny... but with our awesome "dance moves" they simply become amazing. Haha!
Unfortunately, the photos started after those dances, but don't worry... I'm sure someday it will end up on youtube somehow and then you shall see our awesomeness for yourself. c;

Then we danced around to some other songs, mostly from The Beatles, and had a mini-photoshoot... But of course, as they were taken in a car, most of them were blurry, but here are some of the pics from the road! C;

 Jess, with her... guitar? Something like that. c;
 The Birthday Girl!

 I love how she is so into this picture, and has no idea I'm totally ruining it. Haha!
 She wasn't as shocked and horribly angry as she looks, don't worry.
Fake anger people! ...It 'twas fake. c;

 Christi and I rockin' out to "The Birthday Song" by The Beatles

Moma; probably thinking we are all weirdos by now.
(but she a weirdo too, so she can't say nuthin!) d;
And here is the only decent shot of myself. =P
Ah, and then there is Jessica, dancing to " Hound Dog" by Elvis
Yes... She is The Hound Dog.
...Yup...
 and now she is Elvis.

The First Stop: Charming CHARLIE.

 Just longing to buy these expencive clothes. =P

Trying on hats... some involuntarily. Haha

She didn't know what I put on her head in ↓ this one. =P

 This crown is a liiiittle bit better.
But still not the right one.

 ↑Christi's Self-Coronation↑
Dass da one! She got that tiara from Mom & I as one of her birthday presents.  Looks wonderful on her, don't you think?? :)
 _______
Moma... Stylin'.
 Still think you should have gotten those Mom! c;
 ________
Christi... Sty-lin'..? Eh, not so much.. o-o
 ↓ Very fitting picture/pose for these glasses...
 (She had no idea what she had on her face.) haha
 And, here is Christi, playing the part of Horton, as she hears the Who's inside of this... interesting ring.

 Strange, ain't it?
 Love those chandeliers. And the "dress"
{it's a organizer... thingy...}
Oh yeah... Almost got her that one. d;

 Oh, and the Octopus Ring... Haha! She came up to me, "Look what Mommy's buying me!!"
Hah, and it looked about ten times tackier in person... needless to say, she didn't really get it...
oh darn.

...Back on the road...
On the way to see THE HUNGER GAMES!

 We were pretty excited..
 And for good reason!  It was a great movie! :)

So, that's that!  We had a wonderful day!  And to end the day, we came back and ate lasagna and salad, yum.
And she opened her birthday presents with her new tiara still on her head.

Charlie warming up her side of the bed for her.
