Well, let me first say that I am so happy and thankful that
you have dropped by our blog today!! :)

Welcome, Welcome!

My name is Melissa, & Melissa means Honey Bee! :) It was only two days ago that I decided to change my studio name to HoneyBee Photographie, and I'll tell you why! Oh, and for those that do not know; Photographie is french for Photography. I didn't misspell! c;

My interest in Photography began five years ago and I started White Dove Studio, but slowly that name became sort of unfitting for me. I moved out of the city and into a very small town in 2009 and found such joy and beauty in the nature all around me. In fact, I love photographing anything and everything here so much that I offer a small discount to anyone that wants to come out to my little town for their sessions! One of my favorite parts of each day this time of year, is looking out my bedroom window and seeing the blanket of purple clover flowers in the backyard and all the honey bees hovering over each bud. I just love it. :)

I was out there just last week and could hear them all buzzing around me, so I knelt down and just listened to them and watched them bouncing from flower to flower. It's really beautiful down at their level!! I could have stayed there far longer than I did...

but being barefoot in a field of bees is really not

the smartest thing to do...

Anyway! I am happy to announce my re-opening and my reborn passion, after suffering a complete loss of motivation to do any photography at all during the last months of 2011, so much so that I quietly hid under the covers by not posting a single thing on my Facebook page. {which, by the way, is still there, under the name "White Dove Studio" for those of you who'd like to check it out! I have still got quite a lot of photos up there.} Sometimes that "creative energy" just likes to disappear... BUT! Again, I am thrilled to announce that the motivation and passion has returned!! Yay!!! :D

With my new studio name and my passionate joy of photography stronger than ever;

I have finally figured out a way that I can truly clean up the disastrous mess of stress I created so long ago...

From this day on; I am going become more organized

and much more strict with my editing schedule, so that I can focus and enjoy the part I LOVE...
Capturing all the sweet little moments and turning them into wondrous memories for all of you to keep!
